Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Uday Bhaskar Reddy, Director General, Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council (PHARMEXCIL) said,
“In FY 2017-18, Indian Pharma exports grew to USD 17.26 billion. One of the key development to notice is, despite 8% negative growth witnessed in the US market, we still grew positive by 2.92%. There are potential markets to explore like China, South Africa and CIS markets and even if negative growth continues in the US market, the Indian Pharma companies should be confident and focus on growth and explore opportunities in the potential markets”.
A series of insightful sessions and panel discussions convened by industry experts are being organized to discuss the trending subjects in Quality Assurance, Technology, Quality Culture and Regulatory & Compliance Standards in the Pharmaceutical Sector. Among many other functions pharma companies need informatics for crossing the quality chasm and preventing errors. IT, like in any other field, can also give a boost to quality assurance in pharma.
